Bio

If you have been diagnosed with cancer or know anybody around you who does, you’re probably shocked, afraid, desperate, and lost, whether it shows or not.  It’s a feeling shared by thousands of people. I’m creating this blog to share my journey and to help facilitate as much information as possible in order to change the course of events.

In May 2005 my dad got diagnosed with a Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. At that time, I didn’t even know that a lymphoma was a type of cancer. I had to look it up on the internet. This wouldn’t be the last time I used the net to find answers. It was the beginning.

I remember my first reactions when my dad got diagnosed with cancer three years ago, the panic, the doubt, and loneliness. It wasn’t easy. Today he is healthy, happy, and strong. I don’t think that would be the case if it weren’t for the choices we made. I’m sure you meet people with similar stories but different ending, yet things seem to stay the same way. People are getting sicker. The numbers are growing.

You should know that what happens in your body at the cellular level is still a mystery to conventional medicine:

  • Interactions between your brain and your immune system.
  • What emotional and other stress does to your immune system.
  • How your mouth can affect the rest of your body.
  • Exactly what chemotherapy does to your immune system.
  • How the side effects of chemo can be offset with natural
    substances.
  • What the long term effects of chemotherapy are.
  • What other treatments are available to recover from cancer.
  • How non-toxic substances can boost your immune, system.
  • What organs are affected by nutritional deficiencies (or
    excesses).
  • How cells react to food and medicine.
  • How exercise and nutrition affect diseases like diabetes.
  • What “free radicals” do to your health.
  • Which antioxidants are the most effective against free radicals.
  • What natural substances provide your body with antioxidants.

--Cancer-Free by Bill Henderson-

In the past 70 years, over 300 gentle, non-toxic cancer treatments have been discovered. They contain natural, non synthetic ingredients. They are backed by years of independent statistics showing higher success rates and lower toxicity effects than their synthetic, approved opponents.

I created this blog because I believe people who embark on a holistic journey to cure their cancer end up feeling a bit like a hermit, ostracized by the majority because of their choices, almost forced to follow their steps towards health in silence. Information seems to begin and end with each one of them, no matter how successful they are in their healing. They become either invisible if they succeed or embarrassed if they flop, or both. I’ve seen it each time. Each book, each article, each hopeful study, each patient; everything begins and stops with them, nothing sticks. Time doesn’t tell the truth. Nothing changes.

If you are one of these holistic hermits, I hope to provide a place where you can find information about healing so you can connect and correspond with others. I think it’s important. I find denial to be the hardest thing to cure and being lonely in your choices doesn’t help, specially when you are uninformed. I hope the voice of this blog adds to the many voices trying the same thing: to move information so it sticks somewhere, so it defeats ignorance and denial, so it helps healing.
