When talking about mercury fillings, Naturopathic Doctor Craig Sommers mentions a new chilling study that confirms what holistic practitioners have been saying for years. Something that goes beyond scary. If you thought mercury leaches from your teeth slowly over a long period of time, think again. Apparently hot food and beverages increase mercury vapors tremendously and now there is visual prove of it. He mentioned a study in which a tooth with amalgam fillings was placed in front of a phosphorescent screen. The mercury vapors absorb the phosphor so it becomes visible. Well, I found the video from the The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and it is INCREDIBLE. Please watch not only how simple body temperature causes MASSIVE amounts of mercury vapors: it’s grinding, chewing, teeth cleaning, etc.
You swallow those mercury vapors, but you also inhale them. This is a video from the University of Calgary that explains what happens when mercury vapors get to your brain. You might have seen it before, but I recommend you revise it anyways in case you forgot how poisonous this metal is.
I thought I was aware of the dangers of mercury in the mouth after listening to Hal Huggins speak. Not until I watched with my own eyes the IAOMT video I realized of the dangers. When Hulda Clark mentions in her books that if you have cancer the first thing you need to do is to take out your mercury fillings (if you have them), I thought she was way out there in her theories. One of “her things”, I thought. I certainly changed my mind since then. I actually believe now that if you don’t remove the mercury safely it will make very little difference in your cancer recovery deciding to change your diet and to take lots of supplements.
This information is from the EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency):
Hazard Summary-Created in April 1992; Revised in January 2000
Mercury exists in three forms: elemental mercury, inorganic mercury compounds (primarily mercuric chloride), and organic mercury compounds (primarily methyl mercury). All forms of mercury are quite toxic, and each form exhibits different health effects. Acute (short-term) exposure to high levels of elemental mercury in humans results in central nervous system (CNS) effects such as tremors, mood changes, and slowed sensory and motor nerve function. Chronic (long-term) exposure to elemental mercury in humans also affects the CNS, with effects such as erethism (increased excitability), irritability, excessive shyness, and tremors. Human studies are inconclusive regarding elemental mercury and cancer. Elemental mercury is used in thermometers, barometers, and pressure-sensing devices. It is also used in batteries, lamps, industrial processes, refining, lubrication oils, and dental amalgams. EPA has classified elemental mercury as a Group D, not classifiable as to human carcinogenicity, based on inadequate human and animal data.
So, out of the 3 forms of toxic mercury, 2 are carcinogenic but the one used for dental fillings nobody knows anything about it. And since nothing is conclusive, then the EPA says it’s safe when it comes to cancer risk, despite the fact they state it makes you crazy, among other noxious effects. That’s right, as long as nobody can prove it gives cancer, then it must be cancer safe. And they might as well keep it that way for as long as they wish. Meantime, Norway banned the use of mercury including dental amalgam starting January 1, 2008. Sweden followed.
This just confirms, once again, how obsolete modern medicine is. The day you go to an oncologist office and he or she asks you, after you have been diagnosed, if you have mercury fillings in your mouth it will be the day I will trust modern oncology once again. And if he recommends to take them out safely, then I will be impressed. By the way, there are oncologists nowadays who do these things. Just very few, though.
